Froelick Gallery is pleased to present Rare Nature, our first solo exhibition with Portland-based artist Holly Osborne. Her works exude a strong sense of place, whether she paints grand views of nature or quiet corners of a yard or abstraction-laced amalgams of remembered outdoor scenes. Masterful use of color transports the viewer into close proximity with cooling jewel-toned waters and lush green patches of shade, sun-scorched rocky ground and disarmingly vivid clusters of flowers.
