WOVEN: THE ART OF CONTEMPORARY NATIVE BASKETRY
This outstanding exhibition is the third installment of Curator Todd Clark’s IMNDN traveling exhibition titled Woven, which focuses on the beauty and power of contemporary Native and Native inspired basketry. Making its Portland debut as part of the PDX Art Program post-security in the Concourse DE display case, this captivating exhibit highlights the works of several talented professional Native artists who call the Northwest home. This notable exhibition will be on view through March 31st of 2019 at Portland International Airport.
The participating artists include: Joe Fedderson (Colville Confederated Tribes), Gail Tremblay, Joey Lavadour (Walla Walla), Ka’ila Farrell-Smith (Klamath and Modoc), Pat Courtney Gold (Wasco), Alfred ” Bud” Lane III(Confederated Tribes of Siletz), Lisa Telford (Haida), Dan Friday (Lummi), Patti Puhn (Squaxin Island), Preston Singletary(Tlingit), Loa Bilham’neex Ryan (Tshimshian), and Carol Emarthle-Douglas (Northern Arapaho and Seminole).
