Brian Kershisnik Honored with Mid-Career Retrospective

Brigham Young University Museum of Art celebrates 30 years of Brian's artwork

The Difficult Part: Brian Kershisnik, a Mid-Career Retrospective will be on display at the Brigham Young University Museum of Art from August 16, 2024 through May 3, 2025.  The public opening reception will be 7-9 pm on Friday, August 16.

This new exhibition will feature over 100 pieces of art highlighting Brian’s exploration of love, grief, service, loss, inspiration, contemplation, and eternity, combining the holy with the whimsical and the familiar with the transcendent. Over the course of three decades his art has captured hearts and inspired viewers around the world. In addition to the paintings, prints, drawings and sculpture loaned by private collectors, there are new, never-before-seen works made specially for this exhibition.

A beautiful 150-page catalog has been prepared for this event and will be available for purchase.

Also currently on display at the nearby Springville Museum of Art is Joe & Brian: 30 Years of Friendship and Art, a collection of Joe & Brian artwork, which runs through Sept 21, 2024.  This show celebrates the 30th anniversary of the collaborative art project between Joe Adams and Brian Kershisnik.
