Gail Tremblay (1945 - 2023) and all of us here at the gallery were deeply honored when The Metropolitan Museum of Art purchased her 2021 woven film basket “When There is No Category for a Film in a Native American Language on Oscar Night, Clearly in a League of its Own.” She and would have been equally excited with their beautiful presentation of 9 of her works in the Met's American Wing. The display was organized by curator Dr. Patricia M. Norby and is now on view, and will remain for approximately a year.
