This painting features the historic, red Rice Union grain elevator located near Dufur in remote North Central Oregon. This large timber structure was built in 1916 and could store up to 74,000 bushels of wheat. Technically an elevator is used to store dried products, and contrary to the name- it was used to store wheat, not rice. This painting is in a custom milled and finished frame made by the artist.
