Froelick Gallery is thrilled to announce our first group exhibition of 2026 - featuring new paintings by Holly Osborne, Tom Prochaska, and V. Maldonado, a brand new series of 12 self portrait paintings by Orlando Almanza, and a special selection of works by most of our represented artists.
The exhibit title is inspired by Almanza's 12 new self portraits that he named after childhood lessons taught to him by his grandmother, confidence building proverbs and street smart advice that can come in handy for any of us no matter the age! They are joyful paintings which revisit scenes of young Orlando working in the garden and contemplate his coming-of-age steps.
The other 52 works on view were not choosen because they present overt didactics, but because they offer what we think is important in art, especially beauty, passion, visual strength, and authenticity. The artists we represent have so many reasons to make art and so many concepts that they endeavor to express. This exhibit is a strong group of select works! We hope you can visit to fill your eyes with the paintings, prints, and drawings that we're showing, and we'd be thrilled to help bring art to your home or office.
