April 2025 Kershisnik commented: "Yes, one of the angels is crying, but I don't know why. I don't know what they are busy with either. But it is hard physical work that is outside of the frame, and there is sadness involved."
Puvis de Chavannes was one of France's most influential symbolist/romantic paintings in the 1800s. He was a founder of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.
