Bartow made well over 100 floral/botanic works, and 50 to 100 "poster" type paintings and works on paper that he intended as promotional type graphics for friends' theater performances, and for Bartow's own exhibitions and gallery representations. Additionally Bartow made these as homage to several galleries who were committed to ongoing advocacy of him and his work. Each was uniquely hand lettered and painted. Many included imagery thematically related to his exhibitions, and some were simply a work that he decided to add a gallery name to it. Two galleries in Tokyo represented Bartow: Azabu Kasumicho/Glass House (run by his printer collaborator Seiichi Hiroshima) and Yanagisawa Gallery (run by Toshiaki Yanagisawa), and each gallery hosted a solo exhibit for Rick in October 1997! This painting is on a specialty, hand-made Japanese "Tsukujimai" paper. This work is in perfect condition.
