"2 Crows" written at top of work, and titled same on back. Image depicts two crows vertically stacked: Top crow is black with blue marking on wing, lower crow is blue with red wings and white beak. grey/blue background. Rick created this monotype with collaborative master printer Seiichi Hiroshima. The process included rolling a heavily inked plate- first on top of a 1995 drawing "Bird Plus Diary," which absorbed ink in ways that show some of the original 1995 marks, then Rick and Seiichi ran the "ghost impression"- the plate still held residual ink, he added more ink such as the dark red, blue and black for the two birds and ran it on a blank sheet of paper. This work is framed white washed maple, rag mat, UV3 Plex 35 1/2 x 27 1/2 x 1 1/2".
