Wilder Schmaltz

Associate Director

Wilder received a BFA, with an emphasis on painting, printmaking, and drawing, from the Pacific Northwest College of Art  in 2001 and has worked as a freelance illustrator for The Portland Mercury and other publications. Prior to working at Froelick Gallery in 2010, Wilder worked as gallery manager of Print Arts Northwest, a non-profit organization in Portland, and as an assistant glass sculptor at 4th Dimension Studios, also in Portland. He is also a founding member and past president of Flight 64 Press, a member-run nonprofit print studio, which supports print-based artists by providing the tools and equipment access they need to develop their work.
