Summer Group Exhibit

14 July - 27 August 2021

We are pleased to announce the opening of our annual Summer Group Exhibit. A forum for Froelick Gallery artists to present selections of developing bodies of work from their studios as well as entries from ongoing series and notable pieces from their personal archives.

Much color is present in this cohort, including  V. Maldonado's colored pencil drawings of dynamic, sensually-bending bodies; Micah Hearn's affectionate, confessional, and expressionistic scenes from his life; Yoshihiro Kitai's shining gold leaf and watercolor paintings; inviting seashore scenes by Gwen Davidson and Holly Osborne; Joe Feddersen's translucent blown glass vessel, Green Landscape.. Figuration is also in evidence, from Kris Hargis's soul-bearing self-portrait, Emma Gerigscott's massive diptych in tribute to human/puppy love. Among the other works on view are Takahiko Hayashi's impossibly-delicate-seeming ink linework on paper; dense, black compositions by Ritsuko Ozeki and Barry Pelzner, in aquatint and conte crayon, respectively; Laurie Danial's suggestive, painterly abstraction;  and a powerful large-scale transformational pastel drawing by Rick Bartow which was last on public view over 30 years ago.
