Nicole Nathan, trained in curatorial practice and collections care and now the Executive Director of the Arts Council of Lake Oswego, and Robert Krueger, object conservator and proprietor of Cascadia Art Conservation Center, along with Charles Froelick will discuss the use of non-traditional materials in contemporary art:  What exactly is ephemeral art, should you collect; how to recognize potential issues; and care of collections with artwork made from unconventional materials.

The backdrop to the discussion is our two feature exhibitions:  Tom Prochaska “The Boxer” (paper maché figures and oil paintings), and Gail Tremblay “Re-Imagining Film Images of American Indians"' (cinematic film baskets).
