PORT selects Gabriel Liston's "I Know Who's Drowned- It's Us" as a notable August exhibit
News

Tori Abernathy writes on portlandart.net:

"Taking its title from a Mark Twain novel, I Know Who's Drowned - It's Us is a new solo exhibition by Denver-born Gabriel Liston. "Highly accomplished in a range of techniques, Liston here exhibits oil paintings alongside monotypes and small sealed, primed and painted books which resemble Delft tiles. An inveterate sketch book keeper, he works from a large collection of on-site landscape drawings and the recorded activities of his three young daughters and their friends." Child's play has served as his subject for many years now, but this time he steps outside of the painting domain to show us a bit more of his sketch bookish process."
