Lli Wilburn

In her thirteenth solo show at Froelick Gallery, Lli Wilburn continues her pursuit of the compelling urban view- those found from muddy footpaths, underneath bridges, obscured by chain link fences, behind guardrails and through Portland's perennial landscape of construction/demolition sites. Retaining the freshness and immediacy of sketchbook studies with these, her works are also meticulous in detail; she expands her repertoire of media to include ink, watercolor, gouache, graphite, charcoal and pastel on a variety of papers in these in-depth investigations of "the different moods and aspects of winter landscape in Portland and beyond".
