Urban Vernacular consists of silvered blown glass baskets, and a suite of editioned linocuts. The glass forms recall the traditional sally bags and berry baskets of Pacific Northwest tribes. The vessels and prints are decorated with signs and markings, often overlooked, from his urban surroundings.
Tom Prochaska’s fifth solo exhibit, More or Less, at Froelick Gallery presents a series of glass panels produced while at the Bullseye Glass Company’s Artist Exchange program. Along with the glass panels will be a selection of graphite drawings and oil paintings: a mixture of colorful landscape vistas and black and white abstract compositions.
