Gwen Davidson relates shadow, reflection and architectural structure with subtle color in collaged surfaces. One finds both regional landmarks and dark corners in these moody constructions. Davidson's work is in the collections of the Portland Art Museum, the State of Oregon, the City of Portland, the City of Seattle, King County, Nordstrom and M Financial.
In the fall of 2005 Davidson was awarded the Ballinglen Arts Foundation's Fellowship and took part in a five week residence at Ballycastle, County Mayo, Ireland. Davidson's most recent abstracted landscapes continue to be inspired by her stay in Ireland.
